Bailey, one of the Tercentenary commissioners in Vermont. Includes handwritten notes. Clippings pasted into Travel Magazine, June & July, 1909, which featured articles on the Celebrarion.

Samuel de Champlain of Brouage, cartographer, explorer, and founder of Canada. Champlain discovered Mount Desert Island in 1604. He also laid the foundation of what became the first permenent French colony in America at Quebec.
